Adobe Animate won't install on my new laptop (Windows 11). It is part of my Creative Cloud package; it is the reason I have CC. When I download the .exe and try to launch it, nothing happens. It kicks me back to the Adobe site.

install the cc desktop app using an administrator account (solution 4 here, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/creative-cloud-missing-damaged.html)

UPDATE: The processor on the new laptop was a Snapdragon X. Adobe Animate will not download to a Snapdragon X processor. I returned the laptop.

I finally realized it was the processor. The processor on the new laptop was a Snapdragon X. Adobe Animate will not download to a Snapdragon X processor. I returned the laptop.

Thank you. This probably usually works! But I finally realized it was the processor. The processor on the new laptop was a Snapdragon X. Adobe Animate will not download to a Snapdragon X processor. I returned the laptop.

Frustratingly, the help-desk person I chatted with at the Adobe site did not ask what kind of processor my laptop used, and did not check that when they took over the computer remotely. They tried various usual fixes (including sending older versions via a zip folder) and finally told me there was an “outage” and just try again in 12-24 hours.
