Can't download new apps or update existing apps?

I am using Macbook PRO and primarly use the creative suite on a PC at work. I want to work on my home laptop since  I am a freelance but the apps are not updating, and when i try to download AE on my laptop using creative cloud it doesnt work. I click and click the button but it does not do anything... Any ideas?

Thank you, cratice cloud on my mac has worked before, its the new M4 so iI wanted to make sure, I have AI and others already installed.

To answer your questions:

  • I own the subscription, I use it at the office primarily for convience so technically I use it on this desktop work computer and my Mac where I first downloaded it.
  • Yes, I only have on login that I used. When I go into the CC, its synced. I can see all my files etc.
  • I meant CC, Creative Cloud, I keep getting an error code 191, saying "Creative Cloud update failed", wonder if it has anything to do with that?

In addition to what kglad said, please confirm these:

  • Your subscription can technically be used by one person on two computers (home and work, for example), but not all offices allow this when they pay for the subscription. Does your office permit this?
  • Did you download the CC app and sign in with the same login and pw, then install the applications from the CC app?
  • The last version of Creative Suite (CS) was CS6. Do you mean Creative Cloud (CC) which has been with us since 2013 and is now CC 2025? If you actually meant CS, then you need to have one of your two activations available.
