CC connecting to wired (no internet) connection when wireless (with internet) is available...

Question

I have two network connections active on my PC. One is a wireless connection that provides internet, whilst the other is a wired ethernet connection that connects to a local private network (no internet available on this network).

The problem: Adobe Creative Cloud app always wants to connect to the private network resulting in 'server not found' error. If I unplug the ethernet network cable, Creative Cloud connects to the internet using the wireless connection and everything works normally.

The question: How can I force Creative Cloud to ALWAYS use the wireless connection and not try to connect using the ethernet port..?

Okay, I think I've figured this out. Both my networks, wifi (internet) and ethernet (private network) were on the same network ID (192.168...) This wasn't problematic in and of itself, but CC desktop didn't seem to like it. I've since moved my private network to use a different network ID (20.20...) and CC is now defaulting to the standard 192.168... network.

Odd, because you'd think it would default to the network that had an internet connection, but there you are.

i don't know that answer. contact adobe support and see if they can help. there are 2 ways to contact adobe; chat and twitter:

chat:
use a browser that allows popups and cookies
and click here, https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html?rghtup=autoOpen
in the chat field (lower right), type AGENT
be patient, it can take quite a while to reach a human.

p.s. if you're contacted by anyone (via email or private message), it's much more likely to be a scammer than an adobe representative. ie, double check for an employee badge if contacted in the forums and look for an adobe.com domain in the email address if you click reply to an email. then check again and be very suspicious. any other method of contacting (or offering to contact you) is almost certainly a scam, https://community.adobe.com/t5/using-the-community-discussions/staying-safe-in-the-adobe-support-community/td-p/12919684/redirect_from_archived_page/true
