Creative Cloud desktop keeps uninstalling older versions

So this is extremely frustrating. Even though in the desktop application I have every automatic update option turned off in preferences, in the background it will automatically uninstall older versions and install the latest versions. I don’t want this happening in the middle of a project. The stupid thing simply will NOT keep the old versions. The version installed is 6.10.0.252.3

Anyone know of a solution besides to stop using buggy Adobe products?
