Does the Creative Cloud App ever turn automatic updates back on?

I rolled my Dad's very old Windows PC back to LrC 13.3 to avoid issues caused due to old hardware and all seemed well.

Yesterday, it was back to 14.0.1, he assures me he did not do this yet it had updated.

It does seem the Creative Cloud app may have updated, would this have turned auto-updates back on?

I've never had the settings change from no auto update to auto update, even when updating the CC app.

an app won't change the cc desktop settings.
