Had Enough with Creative Cloud App Updates!

Enough! Creative Cloud App Updates are the pits!
The word for the day is "WAITING", as in I spend so much time WAITING, sometimes with no results!
I've got AT&T fiber, the connection SCREAMS! Every other software I have gets updated in less than a minute, the most in two!

And worse, if I choose to cancel an update, it takes forever for the cancellation process to complete.
For example, I cancelled the update to Photoshop 35 minutes ago, AND IT'S STILL DOING IT!!!

I've got to leave these things for overnight, and eight hours later (MOST of the time!) it finally gets done!

It has been this way from the beginning! What can't you folks find a way to fix this???
I would much rather download the full program and reinstall rather than this; it's painful!

Why can't we download an update installer like everybody else???

Please! I just got back from a trip, I've got updates all over the place, and I'm waiting AGAIN!
No other software, just Adobe!!!

i don't see that. adobe updates are about like ms updates.

 

anyway, why are you waiting for updates. ie , do something other than watch how long it takes.

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.

One thing to try is to turn off automatic updates for applications in the Creative Cloud app, then start your updates when it is convenient for you. My updates are very fast (a minute or two), but I still update manually. Eight hours sounds excruciating!

 

Note that updating the CC app itself is a separate setting. I leave that one enabled and only set the applications to manual.
