How to Install Intel Version of Creative Cloud Desktop Over Silicon

My M1 Mac mini has died and I've rolled back to a Late 2018 Mac mini. I migrated everything from the M1 backup but now I need to replace the Silicon version of CCD with the Intel version. I've tried installing several times but it just hangs. Should I uninstall the Silicon version first?
