Is there a way to store files saved to CC to the sync files?

Hi,

I'm relatively new to CC. I understand from reading that cloud files are stored in the cloud, and sync files are stored separately, While I see that I can access them all from the cloud, what is irritating me is that I have two sets of folders for each project eg. one in CC and one in synched files. Is there no way at all to just have the one place?! I need my files to work in a way I like before they get messy! Thanks, L

Great, thank you! Think I'll do same and give up on CC until the day I ever need to share files!

sounds very reasonable.

all your files should be saved and secured locally.

then files you want to sync accross devices with yourself should also be saved to the sync folder and files you want to share with others should also be saved elsewhere on cc.

Thanks kglad. I store the files locally under 'CC files' which I understand is on my MacBook and that is backed up regularly onto a hard drive. I store the CC files directly on CC solely to save space on my Macbook. I really want to be able to store everything on CC without the split between the two into CC files/ synced files. Is this possible?

it's possible, but it's not wise, unless your cc files are not important.  ie, your cc files are not secure.  they could disappear and there's nothing you can do to recover them.

it's wiser to use other cloud storage systems and better than all cloud storage is to purchase an external hard drive that you can use for suppplemental storage.
