Missing Adobe Creative Cloud [desktop app icon]

After an update my Adobe Creative Cloud no longer has an icon and I can't access it anywhere, although I see it in my install/uninstall programs.

Do I need to uninstall/re-install Adobe Creative Cloud?  And if so, will it also uninstall/re-install Photoshop and Lightroom?

Your help is greatly appreciated.

Sharon

Correct answer sharjo511

use your control panel to uninstall all you cc programs.

then start the steps listed above at the cleaner step.

I discovered my main issue was I had multiple versions of Adobe Creative Cloud on my c:drive! Somehow I was able to delete the incorrect ones and then I was able to uninstall Photoshop and CC. I then proceeded with the cleaner tool and the instructions you provided above. Looks like everything is working and my plugins and presets are still intact!

Thanks for your help!

if it's not in your installed programs (win)/applications (mac):

uninstall everything cc, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-remove-app.html

then uninstall the cc desktop app, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-creative-cloud-desktop-app.html

clean your computer of cc files per http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html

restart your computer (don't skip this)

reinstall the cc desktop app, https://creative.adobe.com/products/creative-cloud.

if you're unable to install the cc desktop app at this stage, use an administrator account (solution 3 here, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/creative-cloud-missing-damaged.html)

use the desktop app to install your cc programs/trials

In the first step (install everything) you have provided me with a link where a person has the Creative Cloud app. If I go to my PC uninstall programs I can't uninstall Photoshop because it's giving me this:

If you see the list of my programs you see the Adobe Creative Cloud

I also see it in my Downloads folder but if I double-click on it to reinstall nothing happens.

What should I try next?
