Photoshop updates

Why does my Creative Desktop keep telling me that my Photoshop needs updating when it has already updated it to the version it wants to install? The only way out of this is to tell it to install it again, and it then starts doing so, and soon realises its mistake and stops and tells me it is updated! Grrrr! It does this even when it has updated itself first|!
