Trouble Moving Project Files Back to Creative Cloud Storage

Hey everyone,

I’m running into an issue and hoping someone here has a solution. I’ve been trying to move my project files back to Creative Cloud storage, but for some reason, it’s not letting me. I’ve tried the usual methods, but no luck so far.

Has anyone else experienced this? How do you usually upload your projects back to Creative Cloud? Any tips or workarounds would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

Hello Adobe team,

I need to share my recent experience with Creative Cloud Projects, which has been very frustrating.

- First, I lost access to a very large Illustrator Cloud Document (600 MB, a masterplan) that suddenly disappeared from Projects.
- Recovery was extremely difficult, and it took escalation to back-end support to finally locate the file.
- In addition, I discovered that Projects are disconnected from Files. There is no way to move a document from one Project to another, or from Projects back into Files.
- This creates confusion and serious risk: critical work gets stuck inside a Project with no way to organize or back it up properly.

For professional workflows, this is a huge problem. Projects should not act as “traps” for files.
We need the ability to freely move or convert files between Projects and Files, and a clearer system to manage these containers.

I strongly recommend Adobe to improve integration between Projects, Files, and Libraries, and to add a clear method for recovering or exporting Project files.

This experience has been very concerning, and I hope Adobe will take it seriously for future updates.

not anymore.

adobe used to support a local folder you could sync with cc, but that was discontinued.

now, you'd have to use something like onedrive or google files.
