Update is removing my preferences

How can I prevent Adobe Creative Cloud from removing my settings from my apps (e.g., favorite fonts, custom preferences) during app updates?

it's presented when an app updates IF you do not have auto-update enabled.

with major app updates there's an option to remove preferences. don't select that option.

Thanks for your responce. Where is that option? I cannot find that option in Adobe Creative Cloud, just an update button, and that's all.
