About the cancellation fee

if your 12th payment has been received by adobe, there should be no cancellation fee IF you cancel before the renewal date.  ie, you have about 2 weeks to cancel, but that should be done before the renewal date.

I'm not sure I understand... did you start a NEW subscription on Dec 16 or is that the date an existing subscription renewed?

You do have 14 days to cancel a NEW subscription, but I think an existing subscription must be cancelled BEFORE the renewal date
