Accessing Creative Cloud images

Hello!

Please forgive what may be an insultingly basic question, but I don't know the answer. I have images stored in the Creative Cloud. Can I access them in apps that are not in the Adobe ecosystem? If so, how? Or do I have to export the files that I want to use to my hard drive and then use them from there? Thanks much!
