Question

Account compromised? All projects switched to PRIVATE + “Unfortunately you cannot update a project n

Hi everyone,
I’m dealing with a serious issue with my Behance account and I’d really appreciate any guidance (or if a moderator can help escalate).

What’s happening:

  • I can log into my account and it appears active.

  • However, all of my projects have been switched to PRIVATE (lock icon on every project), so my profile looks “empty” to other users.

  • When I try to change a project back to Public or make any edits, I get this error:
“Unfortunately you cannot update a project now.”

  • I also noticed unauthorized activity on my account (projects were cancelled/modified and it wasn’t me), so this looks like a compromised account / account takeover situation.

What I’ve already done:

  • Changed my password.

  • Enabled 2FA (two-step verification).

  • Tried different browsers/incognito mode — the issue remains.

What I need help with:

  1. Is there a known restriction/flag that can automatically switch projects to PRIVATE and block updates like this?

  2. How can I restore Public visibility if the system won’t allow me to update/edit projects?

  3. What’s the best way to reach Behance Support if the “Behance Ticket” form doesn’t provide a ticket number or confirmation email?

I can share screenshots (projects showing PRIVATE + the update error) if needed.
Thank you in advance!

I contacted Adobe support yesterday, but they redirected me to Behance support. I hope they respond soon.
The account is from 2015 and I have not had a similar problem before.

behance takes 1-2 weeks, if they respond.

as long as they restore the account, I'll wait.
This is all my hard work built over the years, I hope I don't have to make a new account.
If they don't help, what's the other option?
