Question

Adobe Creative Cloud Client & Privacy

I would like to use Creative Cloud based applications, but it seems that the installed client remains active 24/7.
Is this true ?

I have no objection to starting the client and any background tasks/threads before I use an app, as long as I can then close the Creative Cloud client and ALL background tasks once I have finished.

Why ?

It's my personal computer and I insist on controlling what it does.

I want to be able to have some influence on what data of mine is harvested and sent to servers.

you can sign out of your cc desktop app and see if that stops background processes, but i'm doubtful.  on the other hand that should stop any data tied to you/your account from reaching adobe, or affiliates.

Hi,

Maybe, it's a pity Adobe do not respond.

As it stands I'm going to create a bootable USB instance of the OS and use that to run CC Apps.

Essentially a sandbox, in the same way I would treat a suspicious app or trojan.
A great inconveniance in my workflow, all it does is make me look for alternatives to Adobe.
