adobe fonts not loading in creative cloud

only 2 of my active fonts are showing up in illustrator and I can't seem to get the rest working. When I go to the cc desktop app to look at my previously active/active fonts it's just stuck loading. When I go to "manage fonts" in my adobe account in a browser it shows all fonts being active.

I've tried:

-deactivating and reactiving all the fonts

-activating any random font I have not prevously used

-signing in and out of creative cloud and my adobe account

-restarting my computer

I don't know if this has anything to do with it but I also went to my account preferences on cc and in general under cloud storage it says "getting storage information..." but it never changes like it's also stuck

Time machine migrations won't work.

Use the Adobe Cleaner tool to remove old apps from your system.

Do a fresh install with the latest Creative Cloud Desktop app followed by your other CC apps.

Only the latest versions will work on Apple Silicon M1 chip computers.

Hope that helps.

update:

Some info I didn't include before,

the issue began when I started working on my new M1 imac. Someone suggested on a separate question I asked that this issue may be because I was working on versions cc that were installed using a time machine backup. I uninstalled and reinstalled illustrator, photoshop and indesign and unfortunately that didn't fix it. I checked photoshop and none of my adobe fonts are showing up as opposed to the 2 that show in illustrator.

any help would be much appreciated!! I use a lot of those fonts for work and would really like to figure this out as soon as possible

completely unistalling all programs and the creative cloud desktop app, restarting then reinstalling everything seemed to fix it. Thank you so much for all your help!
