adobe genuine software integrity service 100% CPU thread

So 9 years on and this problem still there. It’s completely eating 1 CPU core on my laptop and desktop. Very  annoying on desktop - disaster for battery on laptop as CPU is running flat out on 1 core the entire time. Even if I kill the process it comes back after a while. Have removed all Adobe software from my laptop for now.

Does this happen when the PC is not connected to the Internet? I notice this when driving between work and home carrying a Windows laptop, with power on, not in sleep; when I arrive at the destination and connect to WiFi or Ethernet the problem seems to stop after a few minutes. But this could be just coincidence.

I discharge Creative Cloud Desktop App (Ctrl+W) when I am not using it. It remains closed most of the time.  I’ve never experienced any core issues at all.
