Adobe Payment Error – Tried 4 Banks, Multiple Cards and Devices, Still No Solution

Hi everyone,

I'm a university student from Turkey, and I'm posting here because I honestly don't know what else to do. I've been trying to purchase the Adobe Creative Cloud Pro student plan for days, but I keep getting the same error: "Your payment could not be processed."

I've spent hours talking to Adobe support, trying different solutions, and contacting my bank. Nothing has worked.

Here's everything I've tried so far:

1. Different banks and credit cards

I've tried credit cards from four different banks:

  • Enpara

  • Garanti BBVA

  • İşbank

  • Akbank

I even created a new virtual credit card specifically to try purchasing Adobe. That didn't work either, and at one point I received an "Invalid input" error.

2. Contacting my bank

I contacted my bank and explained the situation. They checked their system and told me they couldn't see any failed payment attempts or declined transactions.

I don't even get redirected to a 3D Secure verification screen.

If the bank can't see the transactions, how am I supposed to resolve the issue through my bank?

3. Different devices, networks, and accounts

I've tried making the purchase using:

  • My own computer

  • Another computer

  • My phone

  • My phone's mobile data with Wi-Fi turned off

  • Different Adobe accounts

Every single time, I got the same payment error.

I've also checked that the billing country is Turkey and the currency is TRY.

4. Adobe customer support

This has probably been the most frustrating part.

I've spoken to numerous Adobe support agents and have been transferred between the sales, customer support, and other teams.

I've explained the situation over and over again, but I keep receiving the same suggestions:

  • Contact your bank.

  • Try another credit card.

  • Update your payment details.

  • Use the secure payment link.

  • Try purchasing directly from the Adobe website.

  • Use the quotation sent by email.

I've already tried all of these. Multiple times.

Several agents sent me secure payment links and quotations, but I still couldn't complete the purchase.

One agent suggested my university email wasn't verified, even though I'm using my official university email address and offered to provide my student enrollment certificate and ID.

Another conversation raised concerns about previous subscription cancellations and possible fraud-related card restrictions. I don't remember the exact wording, so I can't confirm whether my account or cards were actually flagged.

Later, another agent told me there was no payment block on Adobe's side.

I honestly don't know what to believe anymore.

5. Support cases closed without a solution

I was told that my payment issue would be investigated and that I'd receive an email update within 24–48 hours.

I was also explicitly told that my support case would remain open until the issue was resolved.

But shortly after the chat ended, I received an email saying the case had been closed.

This happened despite the payment problem remaining unresolved.

I've also sent an email explaining everything to Adobe Customer Care, but I haven't received a meaningful response.

6. Other customers are reporting the same issue

I found discussions here in Adobe Community where other people describe almost exactly the same experience: multiple cards failing, banks reporting no declined transactions, and Adobe support repeatedly referring them back to their banks.

Some of those users are also from Turkey.

From the discussions I've read, I couldn't find a confirmed solution for these cases either.

This makes me wonder whether the problem could be related to Adobe's payment processing system, fraud prevention checks, or regional payment handling.

I'm not claiming to know the cause. I'm asking Adobe to investigate it properly.

Why this matters to me

I'm studying Industrial Design at university, and I need Adobe Illustrator for my coursework.

My classmates purchased their Adobe student subscriptions without any problems. Meanwhile, I've spent days trying to pay for a subscription I genuinely need, and I've already missed an assignment deadline because of this.

I'm not asking for a free subscription or special treatment. I'm willing to pay the student price offered to me, TRY 478.80 per month.

I'm just trying to buy Adobe's software, and I can't.

What I'm asking Adobe:

  1. Can someone from the technical or payment processing team investigate why my transactions keep failing?

  2. Are the payment requests actually reaching the banks, or are they being rejected earlier in the process?

  3. Could Adobe's security or fraud prevention system be incorrectly blocking these transactions?

  4. Is there any known payment issue affecting customers in Turkey?

  5. Is there an alternative, officially supported way to complete the purchase?

I've tried virtually everything that customer support has suggested, and I really don't want to be told to contact my bank or try another card again without any technical explanation.

If anyone from Adobe sees this, please help me find a real solution.

And if another user has experienced this issue and managed to fix it, please share what worked for you.

Thank you for reading.

AFAIK, Turkish users must go to the official Turkish website that’s specific to your region.

https://www.adobe.com/international/selector/

I'm from Turkey. Do you know if Adobe provides support through social media here as well? And which platform would you recommend contacting them on?
