Adobe Portfolio

I'm building my professional portfolio and I wonder what is the right Website Container size? Every content I look for says a different thing.

Also, how to make an image occupy the whole screen width? I've already tried to set it at 100% and it appears right on the Editor, but when i preview the website, it goes smaller.

 

I'd really appreciate some help, thanks.
