Adobe Portfolio and google search

Hi -- I have a quick small question. I started a website using Adobe Portfolio last week, and I'm very happy with it. I have a unique name which appears in the URL, website description, etc., but when you google my name the site doesn't show up in the results. Is it the case that it takes more than a week for google to find and take note of the site? Or is it the case that there's something I need to do with the site itself? I've ticked the box 'Allow search engines to index my site,' but none seem to have. You can request that google take notice of the site, but it seems to involve various things that Portfolio doesn't permit -- eg uploading HTML to the site.

 

I'm not looking to appear on the front page of a google search for 'photo,' but I think my site should show up if you google my name -- does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!

@James321423079r6q You're absolutely right that it takes time for Google to discover and index new websites. According to Google, most high-quality content is typically indexed within about a week, but it can take several weeks or even months for a new site to be fully crawled and ranked. So, while a week is short, it's not unusual for it to take longer. So be patient grasshopper!

Have things improved? I recently finished my Adobe prortfolio did the search engine optimazation for each page (text, description and some keywords) and registered and verified my url using the google MetaTag with the Bing and Google Search consoles. My portfolio was indexed by both search engines within 24 hours.

      Google & other SEs will index new sites within a few days or weeks if you ask them to, providing your pages contain plenty of visible keyword-rich content inside the <body> tag. 

       

      Owing to keyword-stuffing abuses in the past, Meta Keywords are largely ignored by SEs.  REAL content and a good landing page description are essential.  Often that's the first impression people have of you on Search Results Pages (SRPs).
