AEM 6.5.0 -- Designer Error importing Word document

Installed:

AEM 6.5.0

MS Office 2016

When trying to import a word document into Designer the error:

"Word (version XP or onwards) could not be found on the machine" is recieved.  I have searched the suppoort forums and the WEB and cannot find a fix.
