Question

All files resynced after system goes into sleep state or computers are restarted (team membership)

We just upgraded to CC for teams as we thought CC sharing would be perfect for our assets to be share among small teams.  I'm amazed to find this thread and read that the issue has been going on this long.  We uploaded all our assets which took a long time.  This occurring during the initial upload is understandable.  Now all of our connected computers essentially re-sync all files every time they are restarted or go to sleep.  Here's the latest update on my laptop that I just logged into...  HELP!

Hi Brain_game,

Sorry to hear about your difficulties. That is not normal for that to occur.

A few additional questions to better understand the situation:

  • What OS and version is this occurring on?
  • How many workstations is the resync issue happening on?
  • Are user specific files stored locally on the workstations (versus on a server over a network)?
  • What anti-virus software is being used on the workstations?
  • Do the users have local administrative rights on the workstations?
  • Is any other cloud sharing or file backup software also interacting with the files in the Creative Cloud Files folder on the workstations?
  • Did it work previously on these systems? Did this only start happening after you upgraded to team membership?

Please get back to me with additional details and I'll see what I can do to help.

Best,

- Dave

Mac OS Sierra 10.13.3

2 workstations

They are now stored in Creative Cloud.

originally synced from a network folder via my desktop

took a long time but full sync took place

No anti-virus software

Yes all have local admin rights on workstations

Nothing else interacting with files

Never used it before upgrading to teams
