Behance and the lack of being featured on the platform

This is not related to Photoshop in any way etc, but rather to the notion that it is getting very frustrating when you make projects that just never seem to get noticed by the team that is supposed to check the work that goes up on the platform. Please can someonen tell me all how this actually works, becuase it feels like if you do not have a big following then you are destined to never get featured on Behance, no matter what you create. Or is there an algorithm that is place that we are not aware about?
