Best way for storage footage on iMac when using Creative Cloud?

What is the best way to storage photos and images, when you work with huge amount photos and videos?
I work on a iMac 2017 and use mostly Bridge, Lightroom, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effect and primiere Pro.

There's a very simple answer to that: get more and bigger disks. On this machine in front of me I have over 20 TB of internal disks inside the box.

Cloud storage is fine if you work with small web files. For anything photography-related, full sensor size, internet bandwidth is nowhere near able to deal with it. Not to mention that your allowed quota will be used up awfully fast.
