Black Interface/Worktop?

Hi everybody, am I the only person who finds the constant window on the 2022 Abobe apps annoying? I recently changed my Mac, and before getting the new one the Adobe apps were just like any other. You just get a navigation bar across the top, and the desktop appears below it. Now you have this constant window, when any Adobe app is open so whenever you close a file, you then have to close the window, before you can see your desktop. Is this annoying for anybody else? and can you change it in preferences? Thanks for your help Gareth.

You still get a black square covering the whole screen. All that does is remove the contents of it! I think I am just going to have to put up with this. It is annoying but it's not the end of the world! Thanks again for your help.

sorry about that.

you can comment to adobe and suggest they allow users an option.

for applicable apps, use https://helpx.adobe.com/ie/x-productkb/global/how-to-user-voice.html

for others, use https://www.adobe.com/products/wishform.html

It's debatable whether it's a problem but I'm on OS Monterey. Personally I find it a nuisance. It’s basically a big window with all your recent files in and some general navigation like “new file” and some other stuff. It's not big deal really but I just wondered if there was a way of getting rid of it.
