Bone Tool

Hi Everyone, I ' m not sure if it's me doing wrong or somethingelse that I can't select my bone tool. I use Adobe An CC and watched almost all tutoriols about the tool but I can't select the tool. I know it doesn't work with some certain brushes. I have tried different variations on a simple stickman. I can not select the tool.. Anything I might be doing wrong?

Steps 

-Draw the Character

-Convert it to Symbol

-seperate parts into pieces in the library

-locate them by the joints

 -Select the Bone tool ! ( I see the bone but I can not apply it)

 

Anything?
