buying ia app separately when I already have cc subscription

do i still have to buy a separate subscription alongside another one?

i bought cc subscription but it stills requires me to buy the other apps; and 

if this is the case why buy cc? or am i misssing something here because paying us$50+ just be told that still need to buy the other apps is pointless
