Cannot install plugins for Mac

When I try to install plugins using the Creative Cloud App I always get this error message…

I tried quitting and relaunching the CC app and restarting the computer. Neither worked. No CC applications are running. This happens with all plugins I tried, which are for Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, or some combination of the three.

2013 iMac

Catalina 10.15.7

CC 5.3.1.470

That error clearly states that your User Name does Not have the proper permission for the folder that is needed for copying the plugin files to that folder.

Use the OS Get Info option to Add your user name to the list of account that have permissions and give it full Read & Write permissions.

close the cc desktop app and then open with root privileges, 3 Ways to Open Applications With Root Privileges on a Mac (wikihow.com)
