CC app update buttons almost NEVER work

The CC app update buttons almost never work. Every morning, I have to quit and restart CC up to ten times to get the Update buttons to respond to any click, if ever. Half of those restarts result in the CC being unable to load any apps and forces me to relaunch. How can it be this difficult? It's like the CC app is designed to not work on purpose for no reason. It does not behave differently on any of the three machines I use. This is not how a viable product works. And par for the course, not one of the topic tags below this input box are relevant to the issue. #updates #cc

if there's an error message, post it.

 

otherwise, reset the cc app:

to reset the cc desktop app, make sure it's in the foreground, then press:

Win: Ctrl + Alt + R
Mac: Cmd + Opt + R

if that fails, try to repair

if that fails go ahead and uninstall/reinstall per the above link

if that fails, do a clean cc install following each applicable step:

uninstall every cc app including preferences, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-remove-app.html
then uninstall the cc desktop app, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-creative-cloud-desktop-app.html
clean your computer of cc files per http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html
check for, and if available, update your os
repair all ms visual c++ versions that can be repaired.
update your ms visual c++, if it can be updated
restart your computer (don't skip this)
reinstall the cc desktop app, https://creativecloud.adobe.com/apps/all/desktop?action=install&source=apps&productId=creative-cloud
if you're unable to install the cc desktop app at this stage, use the link at the bottom of the page at https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/kb/creative-cloud-desktop-app-download.html
use the desktop app to install your cc programs/trials

There is no error message. I've conducted the repair process several times over the last couple years. It never completely fixes the issue of the Update buttons not working or the Apps failing to load in the CC screen. It might work the first time, but CC seems to break by the next day. I work on three machines regularly, and this happens on all of them the same way. All are on the latest OS and have maximum RAM and processor specs. 

 

To be clear, this is not an issue with CC installing or updating itself. It's about the apps. The Update buttons are not clickable at all. The cursor responds to their existance, but nothing happens when they're pressed. No indication of a click response at all. Therefore the installs are not 'stuck' or 'slow'. They don't start at all. CC has some major issues.

that sounds like something on your computer (eg, av, antimalware, cleaner, defragger) is corrupting some adobe files.
