CC Storage Management is wack

Creative Cloud Storage is wack and needs a major overhaul. Clearly it's been designed with confusing UI and vernacular to prevent users from easily managing their own storage in the hopes that users will just give up and purchase more. TERRIBLE ethics Adobe.

Here's the screen I'm presented with when trying to figure out how my synced folder (which contains just 1.4 GB) is contributing to 45GB/40GB total storage (I'm over the limit, apparently). I suspect that it's my LR storage but as I can't access my own account (see attached screenshot), I can't be certain.

Futhermore, why the heck doesn't Adobe allow us to sync our LRCC Catalogs to the Cloud yet?? This is the only thing I'd use it for, but for some reason, they're preventing us from making even backups of our catalogs in the cloud.

Awful implementation all around!

i'm not arguing with any of your statements. just trying to see if i can help you located the files causing your 45gb storage.

to clear or check all files stored on adobe's servers, use a web browser to navigate to the following locations. at each location there are several folders to check.:

https://assets.adobe.com (be sure to check "launch more" here)

https://lightroom.adobe.com

https://documentcloud.adobe.com

https://spark.adobe.com

if you delete anything from any of these locations, check for a deleted folder where your file(s) was (were) moved. if you want to clear space you must delete files in the deleted folder.

Thanks for your reply and suggestions. I appreciate it, despite my late reply. Unfortunately, none of the links worked in helping alleviate my problem.

If I sound annoyed it's because I am. Adobe intentionally prevents, or makes it extremely inconvenient, to reduce the size of my storage in the following ways:

1. No way to sort images in LR by file size (also, no 'show file in explorer' option)

2. No simple file management solution within the Creative Cloud workspace.

3. No way to see what is contributing to overages

4. The "technology preview" in LR that suggests which photos "could" be deleted is a useless tool that serves Adobe, not its customers (I started it a half hour ago and it's still compiling an arbitrary list of photos that it thinks 'could be deleted)

5. A deletion folder that I have to manually re-delete.

6. Under the cloud icon in LR, the pop-out window shows "out of storage" and beside that there's a VIEW button that is clickable but literally does nothing but close that pop-out window.

Oh, but they make it extremely easy to pay to upgrade my storage...

contact adobe support and see if they can help locate the problem. there are 2 ways to contact adobe; chat and twitter:

use a browser that allows popups and cookies

in the chat field (lower right), type AGENT
be patient, it can take quite a while to reach a human.
