CC website (assets) changed language unexpectedly

Since this morning, my assets.adobe.com (either by clicking on the CCapp or typing directly in the browser bar is showing in Italian

note that the address doesn't contain the language (as in language:it or similar)
all of my preferences are in English, all my apps are in english, I deleted all cookies.
Fortunately the app is still in Englaish, (phew!) but there are ceratin things I cannot do with the app.
I don't speak Italian, I may have been once on the Adobe website in Italian to help someone on the forum, but I have been on the French website since, so....

I would like my English back. Is there anything I can do?

as a test: try a different browser.

if that succeeds, in the problematic browser, delete your adobe.com cookies and cached pages

All the Adobe websites I went to - prior and after - were in English, it's only the assets that are in Italian.

Just to make sure I set it again in for the UK (it was already set to UK), but no luck for the assets website

reset the cc desktop app by making sure it's in the foreground, then press:

Win: Ctrl + Alt + R
Mac: Cmd + Opt + R

then click the cloud icon > cc web link at the apps upper right:
