Cloud Manager dependencies on New Relic

We have a client hosted new relic instance and are looking forward to getting Cloud Manager for CI/CD pipelines. However we have been informed about dependency of Cloud Manager on Adobe hosted New Relic.

If anyone has experience of using Cloud Manager, it would be good to undertsand the requirements and benefits on its integration with New Relic.
