Core Sync "using significant energy" in OS 12 Monterey

I just bought a new Macbook Pro 14". Yea!

 

After installing Creative Cloud and Lightroom/Photoshop 2 days ago, I've continued to see "Core Sync" listed under "Using Significant Energy" when I click on the battery icon in the menu bar. 

 

I do sync my photos with Lightroom in the cloud, but they are all synced and backed up. What is this "Core Sync" process and why is it continually using "significant energy"?

    and for mac os 10.11 here, High CPU or power use when Adobe Creative Cloud is idle on Mac OS 10.11

      Thanks for this. But if I disable Core Sync entirely, won't that stop images from syncing to/from the cloud from Lightroom?
