Reasons- we are artist and like to customize( so multiple modes would be nice),
The current Tarmac White theme scorches my retna when im working late and all the lights are off.
All the cool kids are doing it and Adobe is suposed to be the trend setter.

You can make a Feature requests at https://creativecloud.uservoice.com
The link I gave is monitored by Adobe engineering teams so it has be better chance to catch the eyes of people who decide what needs to be implemented and when. Looking at the already made requests I see some that might be similiar to yours
If these requests sync with your needs then upvote them else create your own request and post it back here so that people with similiar need can upvote it.
