Creative Cloud App Freezes on Big Sir M1 Mini

I've just upgraded to an M1 Mac Mini, and in attempting to download the Photoshop beta to work with it, when I open Creative Cloud app , after even a single click of anything, anywhere in the interface, the app freezes and I can't access the beta tab to see PS.

Is anyone else experiencing this issue? I can't uninstall because I have software installed, and reparing it via that option doesn't help either. So, I'm unable to get a functioning version of PS until this problem is resolved.

Would love some help on this and if anyone else is experiencing this issue.

you understand:  Public Beta is for users who would like to test builds and share feedback with the Adobe product teams. Beta participants want to engage with the development process, are willing to run separate builds of their applications, and understand they may encounter unforeseen issues due to unique system configurations.

ie, don't run beta software if you're not prepared to deal with problems.

here's more info, Creative Cloud Public Beta FAQ (adobe.com)

Thanks for the info. My problem is that the Creative Cloud desktop app freezes after the first click of anything in the interface. I've only been able to click to the beta screen once.

I also just tried to access the Beta apps on a separate non-M1 computer, and Photoshop beta doesn't even show up there. Maybe that's dependant on it detecting the OS, but I have no idea.

So, at the moment, I have no way of getting to the PS Beta to even download it. There's something wrong with CC desktop app on Big Sur / M1.

first, reset the cc app:

to reset the cc desktop app, make sure it's in the foreground, then press:

Win: Ctrl + Alt + R
Mac: Cmd + Opt + R

if that fails, try to repair
https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/kb/creative-cloud-install-stuck.html

if that fails go ahead and uninstall/reinstall per the above link

if that fails, do a clean cc install following each applicable step:

uninstall every cc app including preferences, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-remove-app.html
then uninstall the cc desktop app, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-creative-cloud-desktop-app.html
clean your computer of cc files per http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html
check for, and if available, update your os
repair all ms visual c++ versions that can be repaired.
update your ms visual c++, if it can be updated
restart your computer (don't skip this)
reinstall the cc desktop app, https://helpx.adobe.com/uk/download-install/kb/creative-cloud-desktop-app-download.html
if you're unable to install the cc desktop app at this stage, use the link at the bottom of the page at https://helpx.adobe.com/uk/download-install/kb/creative-cloud-desktop-app-download.html
use the desktop app to install your cc programs/trials
