Creative Cloud bloatware background processes with InDesign

No, they intentionally hog resources to make their junk software start quicker, sync things, and send data back to them. There are scripts you can find to kill the processes, but all you're going to get from Adobe is a canned answer that avoids acknowledging that this is a predatory practice they can use because they hold a monopoly on a large amount of creative software.

Not really, Adobe could have packed that stuff into each app but modern coding technique is to break it out and share resources. Those background processes don't have much effect on processor time or memory usage so they can be ignored.

you're just seeing different threads.  (eg, check your browser if you have a few tabs open.)

but if those threads still bother you, you would have to uninstall the cc desktop app and then manually manage updates (and forego adobe cc services).  do you want to do that?
