Creative Cloud Desktop: Error 131 (Mac) constantly

While Creative Cloud desktop app worked relatively flawlessly for years, now it became a constant nuisance.

Namely, I get the Error 131: Unable to sync all the time.

It first happened a month ago and I was able to solve it with a help from the forum:

https://community.adobe.com/t5/download-install/can-t-update-creative-cloud-desktop-app-error-131/m-p/12014013#M530786

However, it was a complex procedure that required to reinstall the app and go through some other hoops, so obviously I'm not going to do this every time.

Repairing with Cmd-Opt-R doesn't make a difference.

The link to error troubleshooting advises to close some processes in Activity Monitor, which also doesn't make any difference. Plus if those processes should be closed, then why the app doesn't do it itself?

macOS 11.4

Hopefully, Adobe reads this forum and will fix this eventually.

Thanks,

Leo

cmd-opt-r resets the app.  it does not repair.

download that zip, open and click repair to proceed to the next step.
