Creative Cloud Library asset metadata

I've got a creative cloud library for a bank of icons. These are all in sub categories and have keywords written into the asset description so that they're searchable within the library. I wondered if there is any way to include all of this data (the keywords, category title) automatically when you export library assets as .pngs or svgs?

Yes, unfortunately it is not easy  to get multiple items out of a CC library, you can drag multiple items from the desktop into a library, but not the other way around. You can select and export a single item from a library using the CC app, but not select multiple and export them.

Illustrator is not very consistent at preserving XMP metadata.

It will get lost at exporting PNG (as well as the color profile) and will get lost when exporting as SVG (but can be optionally kept when Save As... is used). A Photoshop batch action can convert AI to PNG and keep the metadata.

Thank you this is really helpful! So if I'm wanting to batch export items from a creative cloud library, would I need to first save them all as separate .AI files before I can then batch them via photoshop into PNGs?
