Hello,

all of a sudden CC does NOT show installed Photoshop / only showing some apps from my plan...???

Correct answer Tele55

when you select install, if it detects previous versions you will be offered the option to remove the previous versions.

if you select uninstall an app you will be given the option to remove preferences.

just take your time when installing/uninstalling and you won't inadvertently remove your preferences.

It did not offer to remove prev version - I guess since its the same version already on there. 24.4

Anyways ... PS is back under "Installed Apps" in CC!

I did not uninstall anything - just clicked install (see screenshot) ... anyways ... settings are gone.

Its like a fresh install with the Home Screen and Preferrences default, etc

But I know my preferrences by heart and I only have to reinstall workspace and actions from a backup.

Even though it is a PS issue, but could you please advise:

pulling e.g. Actions folder from the backup ... can I just overwrite the one in AppData>Adobe>etc, etc...?

Or should I just replace the content and not touch the folder?

Or just add my personal actions to the default ones in the Actions folder?

Thansk

Found the solution. The problem is that ADOBE ME has been updated to the latest version and After Effects or Premiere has not been updated to that same version. The solution is to go to the Adobe CC app. Install the latest version of either Ae or Pr depending on what you are working, launch it and migrate your settings when prompted. Media encoder will work just fine. You can then uninstall the older version of Ae or Pr on your computer to save space. This is a simple solution that the geniuses at abobe can't be bothered to figure out.

if it's showing photoshop as a trial, start the reinstall and the app will update to show it's already installed.

It's not a trial - have it for years. Version 24.4 ... and is installed and opening....but not showing in CC at all.

Should I still click "Install" ? All other package apps are shown, e.g. Bridge, ARC, ...

and... if I install, is it a complete re-install ... loosing all settings?

how can you click install if it's not showing, at all?

ie, if it's not appearing in your cc desktop app, at all:  reset the cc desktop app by making sure it's in the foreground, then press:

Win: Ctrl + Alt + R
Mac: Cmd + Opt + R

if that fails, repair per https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/kb/creative-cloud-install-stuck.html

if that fails, uninstall using the correct uninstaller from https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-creative-cloud-desktop-app.html#sa_src=web-messaging and then reinstall using*

if that fails, do a clean cc install carefully following each applicable step:

uninstall every cc app including preferences per https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-remove-app.html

then uninstall the cc desktop app, again using the correct uninstaller per https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-creative-cloud-desktop-app.html#sa_src=web-messaging

clean your computer of cc files per http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html

check for, and if available, update your os

if windows is your os, repair all ms visual c++ versions that can be repaired (use google if you don't know how to do this)

if windows is your os update your ms visual c++, if it can be updated (use google if you don't know how to do this)

restart your computer (don't skip this)

reinstall the cc desktop app using the "alternative download links" at the bottom of the page at https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/kb/creative-cloud-desktop-app-download.html

use the desktop app to install your cc programs/trials

NOTE: win 11 users that have trouble with the latest win 10 installer often have success with the older win 10 installer.
