Documents disappeared

My documents just all disappeared I'm extremely frustrated right now because asking for help is not straightforward. I had a lot of really important documents, this seriously can't be happening.

    From where exactly did files go missing -- your hard drive, an application's start screen or your Creative Cloud storage?
