Easy way to publish in Adobe Portfolio saving cloud space

Hi all!

I am using Adobe Ligthroom rel 12.5 and I am creating subset in there, fully synchronized with my Adobe portfolio site. Everything is fine but, since I am mostly working with raw file, I think I am wasting cloud space.

Raw file are heavier than an RGB JPG resized that is, for web sites, recommended.

I found this solution but I am not sure is the best option, becouse sound trivial to me:

1) exporting RAW file in JPG

2) importing that JPG into Lightroom

3) add the JPG to the album that is synchronized

What can you guys suggest in order to reduce cloud space and optimize the whole process?

     Have you implemented it and seen the changes in the file size? Does it affect your file in any way? If not, you could go ahead.  However, your Portfolio site still allows five sites & unlimited pages.

     

    However, your Creative Cloud storage space may have dropped, depending on which Photography Plan you enrolled in. 

     

    The basic Photography plan for $10/month includes 20GB of cloud storage. 

    1TB storage costs an extra $10/month.

     

    Your Cloud Storage includes:

    Creative Cloud Assets https://assets.adobe.com
    - Synced files
    - Cloud documents
    - Deleted files

    Lightroom https://lightroom.adobe.com
    - Photos
    - Albums
    - Edited files
    - Imported files
    - Deleted files

    Document Cloud https://documentcloud.adobe.com
    - All documents
    - Starred files
    - Shared files

    Adobe Express (does not count against your storage quota)

    I am not sure this works because I keep on deleting stuff and so the space gain may come from deletion, not from resizing. The real question though is if this method is useful or, for instance,  Adobe portfolio has its own compression system (like Facebook). Thanks and sorry for the delay in replying.

    if you don't explicitly delete from your deleted folder, you won't see a space increase for one month (when those files are cleared by adobe),
