Editing Character Styles in the CC Library

Hi,

My team at work are using a shared Library to keep our designs consistent. We share colors, graphics, and character styles. If our graphic standards change, we can easily right-click on a Color or Graphic in the Library and choose Edit to update that item and it will update everyone's documents automatically.

The problem we are running into is that there doesn't seem to be a way to edit Character Styles in the Library. We have tried updating the style in a document and pushed it to the Library with the same file name hoping it would over-write the old style but it doesn't. We end up with two Character Styles with the same name just different properties. Then we have to go through every document and manually apply the new Character Style which we think defeats the purpose of the Library.

Is there something we are doing wrong or is the edit feature just not available for Character Styles in the Library? If the Edit option isn't available has anyone found a work-around to edit a Character Style in the Library so our documents will automatically update?
