Error 404: Asset not found

I created a library and I am trying to share it with my team. When my team clicks the link or if I try to view my library on the web, it leads me to a page that says "Error 404: Asset not found." How do I get this library to show up and be sharable? The same issue happens when I try this using Ps, Id, and Ai.

Although the link takes you to a dead-end, apparently the Library is still shared. The solution we found was this:

The person I shared the Library with goes to their notifications inside of their Adobe account and accepts the shared Library. In this case I was sharing with someone that uses Adobe Express.

Fortunately, everything was fine and the problem seemed to be solved. Yesterday, I shared a preview link with a customer. Today, I made some adjustments to the document and updated the content. Previewlink: Error 404: Asset not found!

This can't be true. Has anyone else had this problem again?

Hi @km-sawan,

We're sorry to hear about this. Would you mind sharing the link with us so we can investigate further? Additionally, could you please share the steps you take to reproduce the issue?

We're here to help, just need some info.

Regards,

Tarun

none of my reviewlinks are working today. here is one example-link: https://assets.adobe.com/id/urn:aaid:sc:US:0f685d5d-c8e1-49b9-acac-4d3559f663f0?view=published

It seems to be working again. However, I noticed that commenting after selecting text areas does not work as usual. There is no option to comment on a section of text and save it as a reference. Instead, I can only place general comments via the preview link. Am I overlooking a setting, or has this feature been disabled?

Oh yeah, I've just noticed that too. The select text tools seem to be missing. I've only got the Pin and Pencil. There used to be select, strikethrough and highlight text as seen here.

The missing tools have reappeared!

Oktober 2025:

I've also been having this problem since today. I want to share a link from Illustrator with a customer who doesn't have an Adobe account. Both I and the customer are getting the error “Error 404: Asset not found.”

I checked older share links; none of them work anymore either. What can I do? I urgently need to get customer feedback.

have the link creator test their link

if they can connect, try a different browser.

It's not the browser that's the issue. This happens directly within the apps, as well. That is the most frustrating part. People are paying $60 per month for software that has major features that aren't sufficiently tested by Adobe's QC department.

I am experiencing a similiar issue. I shared a folder directly to someone outside of my company but who has an adobe subscribed email. He recieved the following error message: "Error 404: Assets Not Found."

retest by sharing with yourself (using a 2nd email address)

This is still happening in 2024. Not sure why this is such a complicated thing for Adobe to fix? A coworker created a shared library with a bunch of stuff in it. She shared it with everyone on my team using their email addresses associated with their Adobe accounts. When we try to access in any Adobe app, we don't see anything. When we go to the Libraries web portal, we can see the library, but there is nothing inside of it. This is extremely frustrating.

I've tried using the Creative Cloud Library Cleaner app, and then signing out, restarting, signing back in and reinstalling all the apps. Shared Libraries still will not show anything.

I have the same issue. Adobe just tossed me around four or five agents and just told me to post it here. It's pretty disappointing their disregard to any of my requests for help. I do not advise anyone to trust Adobe's storage services.
