Error uploading all image files (new to cc)

I am new to Creative Cloud. I have a personal account.

When I try to upload any image file - jpeg, gif, png, I get an error, '...filetype is not supported..'

Am I missing something?

you can use the cc sync folder for those file types, but that's being discontinued by adobe in a few weeks.

So I can't use creative cloud for sharing files I have edited?
