External Hard Drive Misisng

Hello -

I installed Big Sur today. After I installed it, I lost access to my external hard drive. I don't even have an External option in Disk Utility. I tried restarting my computer, plugging the drive into different portals, etc. I also tested it on a PC and the files are still on the drive. It worked earlier today on the Catalina version. Any help is much appreciated.

Your post was moved over from the "Using the Community" forum, which is for getting help using this forum system, to the Photoshop Fix forum for some reason. I then moved it over to the CC Services forum.

But your question has nothing to do with any Adobe program.

You should ask this question on the Apple Mac OS forum over at the Apple support forums as it is a problem either with your Mac or or your external drive.

I hope this helps. Best of luck to you.

You should always wait to update your Mac operating system until you verify that the non-Apple programs you use are going to work properly... not only Adobe programs, the 2nd link below is about Avid... aimed at video editing, but it is a warning for ALL non-Apple program users
