How to edit PDF files in CC Library?

Hello,

I have a file in my CC Library that I need to update every year. It’s a PDF that contains a copyright notice and the year.

Is there a way to edit just the year in the PDF file in CC Libraries without creating a new file? Right now, creating a new file means I have to relink it everywhere it’s used, which is quite inconvenient. If I could simply update the existing file and then relink it (yellow exclamation mark in the triangle), it would make the process much easier.

Thank you!

Hi @26532213,

Welcome to the community! I'd like to inform you that PDFs can’t be edited directly inside a Creative Cloud Library because Libraries are intended for reusable design assets (such as graphics, colours, character styles, etc.), not full document formats.

However, you can use Adobe Acrobat to edit the file.

Regards,

Tarun

it's a changed file so, i think you'll need to relink it, but just to check, you are saving it with the same name, correct?

Yes, but it makes duplicate of the file. (when adding new version, it adds as another file & not replacing the old one.)
