How to fix: Files cannot be synced because they are in a view-only collaboration

Can someone please help me with this error? I have about a hundred files shared with me that started showing this error. I have not modified them; I would not even sync them if Adobe allowed me to disable sync of certain folders, but I can't just leave the folder because I do need to access the files every now and then.

The "Get Help" link just takes me to this page, which then redirects me to this page, which has zero info about this particular error. Hell, if I could just disable sync all together I would do that, but apparently I can only pause???

If anyone has had this issue, could you share some way you have either fixed the error, disabled sync of those files, or disabled sync all together?

Thank you!!

the owner of the file controls whether their files are shared, and if they are, whether they are read-only.

Makes sense, but how do I get rid of the error? Can I tell Creative Cloud to discard my changes and stop trying to upload to a read-only folder?

delete the file locally.

Can't figure out how to edit my post with this info, but I am using MacOS 12.3.1 and Creative Cloud 5.10.0.573.
