Can someone explain to me why every time I open an application from adobe creative cloud I have to wait 5 minutes for a Verifying step?????  There has to be a way around this?

Someone please before I stick a screwdriver through that pop up!

Hi Paycheck,

This sounds like a security feature of the operating system. I've seen this occur on my Mac too. I believe it should only occur once after installing or updating. The behavior is not unique to Adobe and can happen with any software on your computer.

Please see this article for reference

Also... if you don't want Creative Cloud app updates you can turn off auto updating. I know that's what I do. The only apps you can't turn off are the Creative Cloud app itself.

I too would like to see a screen shot of this "verifying" message.

for a Verifying step

Can you post a screenshot? I'd love to see the exact message on the screen to confirm what it's trying to tell you.

Hmm, when you say "verifying" I wonder if you are on an up to date Mac?

There have been a number of Adobe app updates recently and you may have auto update turned on?

If so, the first time you open a newly updated Adobe app, the Mac OS is going to verify it

as being safe and authentic.

This is an Apple thing and not easily circumvented or indeed you shouldn't 🙂

Best regards, Euan.

This is always the issue, when you get use to something they change it.  I dont personally want all of these upgrades, I pay for photoshop to use for editing my images and making basic displays.  Now it is saying my graphics GL is incompatible, and when you got to the link, for upgrading, it makes you go through a dissertation.  Bogus!  If it aint easy to use and you have to be a graphics engineer to update etc. the software packag is a FAIL!

As you may be able to tell I am really frustrated with this, I dont need or want a new computer so I canrun some software.  #Venting

If you don't need Creative Cloud, get Photoshop Elements.

Photoshop Elements (approx $100, no subscription needed).

That said, you still need a supporting OS.

Make sure your computer meets the minimum CPU & GPU requirements. Most Creative Cloud apps work quite well on the following with latest updates.

  • Windows 10 versions 21H1, 20H2, 2004, and 1909 (LTSB branches are not supported);
  • macOS 12 (Monterey), macOS 11 (Big Sur), macOS 10.16 or 10.15 (Catalina)

Also refer to this help article about repreated requests to log-in.  It's probably related to your anti-virus or firewall settings.  https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/kb/cc-sign-in-prompt.html
