I am stuck why cant I find an Option to delete assets ?

Will someone please tell me how to delete files off the cloud after I copy them there.  

I have found that I must delete these files from my "layout"  will someone at least give me a hint as to what they are referring to as a layout. ?  

I ended up replacing them with smaller files.  But still hope to gain understanding as to how to delete them.
